Hot Chocolate Cookies.....mmmm for a brrrrr kind of day

Hot Chocolate Cookies:

I won't lie, I got this idea for a cookie from somewhere else. However I did my normal thing and changed up the recipe up a little. Here's the recipe for you to enjoy and see.

INGREDIENTS:

-2 sticks room temperature butter
-1 cup
sugar
-2/3 cup brown sugar

-2 eggs
-2 tsp. vanilla extract

-3 1/4 cups flour

-4 pkgs. Hot Chocolate Mix (not sugar free)
-1 tsp salt
-3/4 tsp cinnamon

-1 1/4 tsp baking soda

-1 cup mini chocolate chips

-2 cup mini marshmallows

"the gathering of the ingredients"

Directions:

1). In large bowl cream butter and 2 sugars together.

2). Add vanilla and eggs (one at a time) and mix well.

3). In a separate bowl mix together flour, hot chocolate mix, salt, cinnamon, and baking soda.

"magic happens when wet meets dry"

4). Slowly add in the dry ingredients to the wet.

5). Fold in the Choc Chips.

6). Let cool in fridge for 1 hour.

"not your average tube o dough"

At this point I was a little skeptical about the cookies turning out well since the dough looked really, really dry. At this point though what do I have to lose. So I ventured onward......

"these little guys aren't baked yet"

"this guy is"

6). Place approximately teaspoon sized cookies on cookie sheet i
n preheated 350ΕΎΕΎ degree oven and bake for 8 minutes. After 8 minutes pull the cookies out and place 2-3 marshmallows on each cookie and press down.....

"they look so good, but not quite done yet"

Bake 2-3 minutes longer.

7). Enjoy!!

"fin!"
